I have always loved these ornaments in the Swedish Riksdag (Parliament), where I work. They are ornamental yet minimal, and fit into the aesthetics of the Riksdag.
They remind me of a finger ring, particularly an Ole Lynggaard Love ring.
And also, perhaps of these heavy silver rings I bought on an auction many years ago.
