Two local rings in Sweden are the Gotlandsring, which does not really appeal to me…
…and the Hövdingaring, which I absolutely love. These are designed from 1000-year-old archeological finds around Europe and were usually worn by people of high status. Hövding means governor in Swedish. Odds jewellers in Gotland are the primary producers of these rings. I have wanted one for years. I am not sure how comfortable they are but I think they are so pretty! They sometimes come up for pawnshop auctions at decent prices so maybe one day…
